Overseas experience placements available to GP trainees

Those applying to GP this year are being offered a 12 month opportunity to develop their clinical and professional skills in rural South Africa as part of a four year GP and Global Health Fellowship (GHF) training programme.

The programme includes a one year paid deployment in South Africa, and is supported by Health Education England, Africa Health Placements, and the NHS.

To Apply

Applicants must apply for GHF posts via Oriel. Applicants must also submit a separate national clinical ST1 application via the GP National Recruitment Office. The Global Health Fellowship opportunity is not available to trainees who currently hold a GP national training number (NTN).
