When to refer a case

Some cases can be difficult to deal with and you may feel the trainee should be referred to a careers adviser.

Examples include:

  • doctors in training who are contemplating leaving medicine [1]
  • trainee doctors whose career plans may be unrealistic [2]
  • the chronically indecisive [3]

Contact the careers lead at your HEE local office or deanery.
