Step into the NHS competition for key stage 3
The Step into the NHS secondary schools’ teaching resources and competition is designed to raise students' aspirations, open their eyes and minds to a wide range of career opportunities in the NHS and give them the chance to win some great prizes!
The resources and competition support the Gatsby benchmarks and can be used as part of the key stage 3 curriculum. They also have strong links to the curricula for PSHE, Health and Social Care, citizenship and English, and raise awareness of the breadth of careers available in health.
What's it all about?
There’s much more to working for the NHS than being a doctor or nurse. In fact, there are more than 350 different careers in the NHS and, with that many careers on offer, there’s a job to suit anyone, no matter what your interests and skills are. That is where the Step into the NHS secondary schools competition comes in.
The competition also offers students in years 7, 8 and 9 the chance to have their entry displayed in public and win a £25 or £50 Amazon voucher, an exciting goody bag and a prize for their class!
