Training, development and registration (reproductive science and andrology)
Your training will depend on the level at which you're working and whether you decide to specialise in reproductive science or andrology.
Training and development
The initial training you’ll receive depends on the level at which you enter the NHS.
- as a graduate entering the NHS Scientist Training Programme (STP) you will be employed in a fixed-term, salaried training post. As an STP trainee in reproductive science, you will study towards a Master's degree in clinical science (cellular sciences - reproductive science) or in clinical science (andrology) as an STP trainee in andrology.
- if you're entering Higher Specialist Scientist Training (HSST) you will study towards doctoral level qualifications.
Programmes are supported by the development of workplace-based assessment tools, assessment of equivalent learning and the development of academic careers.
